Cybersecurity Scholarships Open for Application

Do you mentor the next generation? Do you know a college studentnpursuing a cybersecurity career? Encourage aspiring cybersecuritynprofessionals to apply for one of 54 scholarships totaling $115,000 fromnthennCenter for Cyber Safety and Educationnnbefore February 29, 2024!

Students are urged to apply fornnundergraduate,nngraduatennandnnwomen’snnscholarships as they pursue their information security or relatedndegrees in the fall of 2024 and have at least a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale.nThe Center for Cyber Safety and Education evaluates applicants based onnacademic excellence, passion for the cybersecurity industry, andnfinancial need. ISC2 and KnowBe4 are among the partners supporting thenCenter’s scholarship program.

“These scholarships ease the financial burden for students as they beginntheir careers,” said Holly Schneider Brown, Center Senior Director. “Wenare so thankful to our financial partners who invest in the nextngeneration of cybersecurity professionals. New this year, we are proudnto honor the legacy ofnnSamantha Jennings-Jonesnnwith a scholarship in her memory. Samantha was a dedicated publicnservant and expert in cybersecurity who was a key member of the teamnthat drafted the National Cybersecurity Strategy for the White HousenOffice of the National Cyber Director. The scholarship fund, created inn2023, has raised more than $50,000 from 150 supporters, colleagues,nfriends and family who are committed to preserving her memory andnfinancially assisting women seeking to start or advance their career inncybersecurity.” 

nIn addition to the financial award for school, recipients can pursue thennCertified in Cybersecuritynncertification exam for free through the ISC2nnOne Million Certified in Cybersecurity programnnwhich will help launch their new career. Becoming a member of ISC2nprovides the scholarship recipients an opportunity to connect with otherncybersecurity professionals, participate in educational sessions such asnwebinars and events, and receive information about internships andncareer opportunities within the community.
